Leader One Energy, LLC Announces Natural Gas Storage Non-Binding Open Season September 15-30, 2010

Denver, CO (September 13, 2010) __ Leader One Energy, LLC (“Leader One”), a Colorado Limited Liability Company of which Energy Corporation of America (“ECA”) is the majority owner, has announced a Non-Binding Open Season for firm storage service to assess market interest in a new multi-cycle, high deliverability, interstate natural gas storage facility connecting to existing interstate facilities of Colorado Interstate Gas Company (CIG) and CIG’s High Plains System.  The non-binding open season will commence at 8:00 a.m. Mountain Time Wednesday, September 15th, 2010 and will conclude at 3:00 p.m. Mountain Time on Thursday, September 30th, 2010.  The project is intended to provide natural gas storage services to meet the existing peak day and load growth demand for local gas distribution and power generation in the market area along the Front Range of Colorado as well as having access to other potential markets including access to the Cheyenne Hub through existing interstate pipelines.

Leader One will convert a depleted natural gas reservoir into a natural gas storage facility.  The storage facility will be located in eastern Adams County, Colorado, approximately 37 miles northeast of the City of Denver. The Leader One storage facility will have a design capacity of 9.75 Bcf of working gas and a withdrawal and injection capacity of up to 250,000 Mcf/d.  The project is subject to approval of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“FERC”) and is currently in the FERC pre-filing review process in Docket No. PF10-15-000.  Service commencement for this storage project is targeted as early as spring 2012.
