ECA Files Registration Statement for Marcellus Royalty Trust

ENERGY CORPORATION OF AMERICA FILES REGISTRATION STATEMENT FOR MARCELLUS ROYALTY TRUST



Denver, CO (April 1, 2010) __Energy Corporation of America (ECA) announced today that it and ECA Marcellus Trust I (the Trust) have filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) relating to the proposed initial public offering of 9,000,000 common units representing beneficial interests, along with 1,350,000 common units that may be purchased at the option of the underwriters, in the Trust. Following completion of the offering, ECA and certain private investors are expected to retain an additional 4,500,000 units, assuming no exercise of the underwriters’ option to purchase additional units. Application will be made to list the common units of the Trust on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “ECT.” The Trust’s assets are expected to consist of a 90% royalty interest in 14 producing horizontal Marcellus wells and a 50% royalty interest in 52 horizontal Marcellus wells to be drilled over four years, all located in Greene County, Pennsylvania.
